Q:  How much time is required?

A:  For your child to make and retain reading rate gains, it is recommended that he or she use Reading Plus® for 40-45 minutes, two to three times per week for a minimum of 40 sessions.

Q:  Who are the teachers?

A:  The teachers that monitor your child’s progress are certified Reading Plus® teachers.  They are trained in using Reading Plus® so your child will achieve maximum reading gains.

Q: Is there a guarantee?

A:  There is a satisfaction guarantee.  We guarantee that your child’s reading rate will increase 50% from his or her starting reading rate. If not, we will extend the course, at no cost to you, until this reading goal is met.

For this guarantee to apply, your child must have followed the recommended schedule of use which is 40-45 minute sessions two to three times a week for a minimum of 40 sessions.

Q:  Do you have a course for me?

A:  Yes, our course is personalized for all levels and ages of students.  If you would like to enroll yourself in a course, simply purchase an additional course (at a reduced rate), and you will start with a reading assessment that will determine the course plan that will be most beneficial for your reading needs and current ability.

Q: How much contact will I have with my child’s Reading Plus® teacher?

A:   On average, you can expect your child’s Reading Plus® teacher to make regular phone or email contact during the four-month course. After the initial reading assessment review, your child’s teacher reviews your child’s records bi-weekly.  If your child’s records indicate that an adjustment needs to be made, you will be informed.  This is an ongoing process to assure that your child is achieving maximum reading gains. Reading Plus® teachers will also provide a monthly summary of your child's progress.

Q:  How do I contact my child’s Reading Plus® teacher?

A:  You will be provided with an 800 number and email for the Reading Plus® teacher assigned to your child. Reading Plus® teachers will be available for discussions Monday through Friday, 9-5pm EST.

Q:  What kind of results can we expect?

A:  After your child completes the course, he or she will read more easily and comfortably at or above grade level rates. Your child will also improve vocabulary, study skills, and analytical reading ability.  Refer to the chart below that shows typical reading rate gains.
